Summertime means lots and lots of organic blueberries from our CSA. Eventually the kids got tired of eating them out of the carton, so I had to get creative! What better way to use ripe, burst in your mouth blueberries than delicious, buttery scones. Trust me .. they will not last to the next day! Bon Appetit!
INGREDIENTS
2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3/4 tsp Spice Tree Organics Chai Confection blend
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, frozen
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
zest of one lemon
1 1/4 cup fresh blueberries, rinsed and drained
GLAZE
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
2-3 Tbs milk
2 Tbs lemon juice
zest of half a lemon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
